Hello SMT from Texas

Just received a strange vehicle from a EBAY auction.
It is sand in color. no Herpa, Roskopf, MAAG markings.

The model is bigger than a typical Roskopf model.

The plastic box is the same typ that MAAG trucks came in.
The cabin does look like the MAAG MB 1017.
The Flat rack looks like it is made of wooden boards instead of metal

Thank you sir,
I have MAAG brochures up to 1990 and a larger listing dated 1997. I don't see this model on the list.
Do you have a item number?

Thanks again for your help.

Hello Worth,

I knew that model at first as a give-away model from the Daimler-Benz stand on the 'International Automobile Exhibition' in Germany in bronze green and in sand brown. But I don't remermber the year when it happened.
It's not really of interest wether it came from Herpa or Maag, because both the marks were produced by Herpa. I mean Maag did no longer exist when this model came out. It was the time when German Bundeswehr was looking for procurement of a special truck, what later became the MAN-Multi. Mercedes-Benz, as several other companies did, presented a similar prototype, too. This prototype should probably become represented by this model. But, important, this model in this dimensions didn't have any real example.

Regards
Heinz
