... for this ex- army aviator's sore eyes, well done all round, I am trully enjoying them - is this an Aurora P-47 I spy with my little eye? ;)

Just one little tidbit about the P-51D: The canopy's rear does not rise, but stays on the spine - you are in good company, a lot of modellers do it like you did.

I do think 3 attachments are the limit per post in order to curb spammer's attempts to flood the server, sorry about that, Ian.

Cheers,

Jens O.

Hi Jens

Yes that is an Aurora P47, not the best quality of moldings but then it is about 60 years old! and the only P47 that I know of thats even close to 1/87 (1/88 approx).

Ian

What a great collection!

Hi Ralf

Thanks - The Piper Cub I believe came from an IPC model kit of a hangar and four planes (if my memory is still working properly) and one of the planes passes for the Piper, again not a lot of detail but I find you have to make do with what models you can find in our scale.

Piper Cub

Yes,

that Piper Cub has been doing the rounds, it usually comes packed with two sailplanes and is originally made by Heljan, but has also been sold in Revell (during the ceji period, in their railroad line) and IHC boxes, it can still be found. I think there was also an IHC boxing with a hangar, but I am not 100% sure, the hangar might have come with different or even without planes.

Very basic kit with not even an hint of an interior, but a sound basis for some superdetailing.

Cheers,

Jens O.

Hi Ian,

great models and great work. I most like the Tornado in the Tigermeet-Painting.

Hi Kurt

Thanks - It is a shame that the Tornado was not of the usual Arsenal-m quality ( it was a very strange shape ) hopefully they will get it right next time they make one.
