Re: Galerie Ian Simpson - Vehicles
Ian,
the Scimitar running gear looks a bit to high, like the M41. I looked twice at Ospreys New Vanguard #13 book to be sure. The CVR(T) Family as I have seen it long years ago in the Bielefeld area used a running gear like the M113. (But the Trident-Model is as old as my remembrance ) .
Kind regards
Axel

Re: Galerie Ian Simpson - Vehicles
Hi Axel I would agree with you about the Scimitar but then the model is one of the old 'white metal' style from years ago and so is very basic and very hard to change but there is no other alternative as far as I know if you want to model one. I also have some issues with the Trident Warrior but then again I do not think that there are very many 1/87 models that are exactly right once you start looking hard at them. The Scimitar is also not one of my better attempts at modelling and had been sitting in a box half painted for quite some time and so was just something to do between other models.

Re: Galerie Ian Simpson - Vehicles
Hi Andreas
If Artitec have a Scimitar then they are keeping it well hidden from any customers at this point in time. They will probably only issue it as a ready made vehicle anyway which is one of the most annoying things to me, why they will not give equal access to ready made and kit form models I do not understand as well as being forced to model their kits with open hatches such as the Leopard 1. Surely it cannot be to hard to give modellers the option to have the hatches open or closed, I find Artitec kits some of the best on the market but limited choice and options does stop me buying many of them. Entschuldigung für die Schimpfe - (hope this is the right saying)
